OSHA SHARP Program Updates
The Region VII VPPPA is currently offering assistance to SHARP sites no longer eligible for participation in the OSHA SHARP program; and who have been advised to potentially pursue OSHA VPP Certification.
In support of this effort, there will be two separate opportunities for current SHARPS sites to attend a VPP Application Workshop. Attendees will get detailed information from OSHA and current VPP Star Worksites regarding the application and certification requirements for VPP. Click on the SHARP link for workshop registrations and other information.
What is VPP?
The Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) were established by OSHA to promote effective safety and health management systems through a partnership between management, labor, and OSHA. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health at their worksite.

We Are Here To Serve You!
The Voluntary Protection Program Participants' Association (VPPPA) provides expertise to OSHA, DOE, and the EPA in the form of comments and stakeholder feedback on agency rulemakings and policies. The VPPPA also offers comments and testimony to members of Congress regarding legislation on safety and health issues.
