Closing Keynote Speakers
Kerry Shaffar – Corporate Safety Director, Lozier Corporation
Kerry has over 15 years experience in the safety and health profession in the production and manufacturing environment, including the last ten years at Lozier Corporation. He currently directs the corporate based safety and health program for four Lozier Corporation sites, which includes two OSHA VPP “star” sites (Omaha, NE and Joplin, MO).
Dan Hoss – Omaha Safety Manager, Lozier Corporation
Dan has worked at Lozier for 12 years as of July 2010. He has held several positions at Lozier, ranging from Human Resources, Production Supervisor, and Industrial Trainer and most recently as the Omaha Safety Manager. He currently manages the safety functions in two manufacturing plants and one distribution center in the Omaha area. |

Scholarship Fundraisers
In support of the successful and ever growing Region VII VPPPA Scholarship, the BOD raffled off a Gateway Notebook Computer, along with a free registration to the 2011 Region VII VPPPA Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. The funds collected from the 3rd annual golf outing were also administered towards the scholarship. In 2010, Region VII received over 60 applications! Please continue to support these great fundraising opportunities! |

3rd Annual Region VII Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Tournament
The 3rd Annual Region VII VPPPA Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Tournament proved to be another great event this year. The tournament was be held at Eagle Hills Golf Club, minutes away from LaVista. There were numerous opportunities for individuals to win prizes, meet other VPP associates and enjoy a great event overall. Golfers even had a chance to WIN A 2010 CAMERO at a hole-in-one event, along with a Bose Music System, Nike Driver or Irons (choice) and a $500 Visa Gift Card! Additional hole-in-one prizes included a set of irons, a Driver, a Putter and an annual golf course pass for Eagle Hills as hole in one prizes! |

Even More Conference Information!
Numerous eductional workshops and sessions. This year’s theme, “Safety on the Horizon”, symbolized the opportunities for all Conference and Expo attendees to acquire valuable information on safety and health best practices, to grow their knowledge and skill base, along with gaining a strong understanding and commitment to the VPP and the VPPPA.
Meals were included! When you attend the Region VII VPPPA conferences, your meals are included! This comprises of dinner Monday evening along with breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday!
Exhibitor/Networking Reception Our exhibitors make up an important part of the overall conference. The reception offered a great opportunity to meet with our exhibitors and network with other conference attendees. Attendees received two complimentory bar drinks along with served hors d’oeuvres at various food stations. New to this year's conference was live music for everyone to enjoy, dance or unwind to. Music was performed by "The Pursuaders Band" from 7:00 - 11:00 PM.
Giveaways and Raffles throughout the Conference! Items given away at the conference included VISA gift cards ($500, $250, $250) and a GPS at the closing luncheon. In addition, VISA gift cards ($100, $100, $50, $50) and 3 - 2011 Region VII Conference Registrations were given away at the vendor breaks and reception as well. There were definitely numerous opportunities for attendees to win! |
