2012 Scholarship Information

The 2012 VPPPA Region VII ScholarshipThe Region VII scholarship was established in 2009 to recognize students who are leaders and role models in their schools and communities and who are pursuing either an undergraduate or graduate degree or pursuing a degree in the Trades Programs. This annual scholarship is granted to one student who is either employed at a VPPPA Full Member site or is a child, step child or step grandchild of an employee of a VPP site. Mr. Jon Alexander, Chairperson of the VPPPA Region VII Board commented, “This scholarship program is another great way of moving VPPPA Region VII forward while accomplishing two goals. First, we the Board of Directors want to make sure that we continue to look for ways to give back to the membership and secondly, it is an opportunity to help at least one student down the road to a higher education.”
The Region VII VPPPA Board of Directors is committed to growing this scholarship program in the future. It will take commitment from other establishments as well to assist in achieving sustainability of this worthy program. If you or your company would like to contribute to this scholarship fund, please contact one of the board members listed on the website. Deadline for application submital is March 15th, 2012.
