Write Now Right Now Campaign
The Write Now Right Now campaign is in full swing and we need everyone’s support. As leaders in occupational safety and health, it is imperative that we act now and contact our congressional representatives in support of continued government funding of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP), Senate Bill 3257 (S. 3257) to codify the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP). S. 3257 will not only support and expand the program, especially for small businesses, but it will eliminate the idea of a user-fee system for VPP.
Congressional representatives want to hear from their constituents. If you would like to make your voice heard in support of VPP, please contact your congressional representatives, members of the Senate and House Appropriations Committees and members of the Senate and House HELP Subcommittees. There's numerous ways you can give your support and express your opinion. You may go to the National VPPPA Website for support information. Another option is to review the links on your State's Congressional Outreach support page (Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska) for support letters to your State Senators and Representatives that you may send.
This is a crucial time for how the VPP will be structured, sustained and maintained in the future. All of your supportive voices need to be heard. Please take the time to do so. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
